| Hello everyone! Cerebrix here. If you have noticed, I have once again changed my background (for my Xanga blog) for the arrival of fall, as well as new music! ^_^ Finally, real music that everyone can listen to! I’ll try to put it up on my Tokyopop page when I figure out how to put it up. Other than that, happy listening! As the title states, today was the first official meeting of our Anime Club! And as any of the clubs before it, it was as hectic as always, but this time, with a new cast of characters to lead the way to (maybe) have a more structured club this year. But we’re a bunch of teenagers in high school, so what do you expect? As for now, the main people that run the club are Ryan (The President), Kristine (my friend, and Vice President), some other kid (I don’t know his name, but he’s Sergeant At Arms), Michael (also my friend, and is the Treasure) and Sheraya (somewhat of a friend, and the Secretary). As long as I have my ideas (as of this year, Senior members can not take the place of Vice President because Ryan wants someone to continue the club while we leave next year, which makes since), Kristine and some of the others to help me get them out there, and as long we can be stable enough for a bit to as least get things in place, even if for a moment, I’ll think it will be a good year for the Anime Club. We already have many things coming up, like next week is the first Anime Club bake sale, and hopefully (like I say every year), we make enough of money for a real Anime convention. But it looks like we might get started soon. We still have a lot of money left, but we still need more it seems, so more bake sales. Other than that, we have to work on trying to at least keep order and behavior, as well has having a library and more focus on watching more Anime, or movies, or reading Manga, and also everyone’s favorite, the video game tournaments (though I think we should cut them down a bit to focus on other things, but than again, I like them too, so who knows.) What other things will go on with this year’s member? I don’t know either, but I’m sure just as hyper and crazy and stuff, just like the last. Yay for Anime Club! Well ppl, that’s all for now. | Hello everyone! Cerebrix here. Everything is going good with me and my world. So far, being a senior is a bit exciting. Having a bit more freedom, have a few free periods, have a few classes. It’s all really cool. Besides classes, there are also activities and clubs, and Anime Club seems like its going to be making a comeback this year. It happened yesterday when there was Club Day during the lunch periods. After the last few years of the Anime Club, and since last year was a pretty bad one, and a lot of the members are kind of giving up on it, I decided that maybe we can put it back on the right track. Because of last year, we did more of the video game tournaments than what it was really supposed to be in the first place: Anime and Manga! Well this year, even if this is the last year for me, we will at least steer this club in the way that it was going to be. I made some ideas when I went to the library yesterday with one of the other members, and we both think it came out well. So today, I decided that I show the other what I came up with, and the results came out very well! ^_^ I’m so happy! This pretty much came out with most of the group’s decision that I should go for the running for the President of Anime Club! But I’m not the only person vying for position, because some have been waiting for this chance ever since Grace (The original and creator of our school’s Anime Club) and the other important members left for college, so this could be a free-for-all. But I have plans, not to mention almost most of my friends to back me up, so this should be interesting. Other than that though, I have no idea who’s the teacher that’s running it or where it’s going to be held, or even the days when it will be on, so I got to wait for that info to come up. Also, there’s not a lot of members, but if we don’t want a repeat of last year, we’ll have to shorten the grades that come in. There were a lot of younger children that came in and out of the meetings (even though some were in the room for Middle School Yearbook Club) and others only came for the game tournaments, so that one thing, and many more to go… Other than that, we might actually have a club this time around, and I’m sure that everyone will like my ideas (hopefully), and if not, resolve them as respectfully and peacefully (I hope) as possible. | Hello everyone! Cerebrix here! I was out for vacation all last week with my mom and her friends and their daughters, so I didn’t get a chance to blog. I was, but by that time, it was too late. But I’m back, and it was great! ^_^ I only wished it wasn’t the last week of August that we went. I was in Orlando, Florida, staying at the Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, which actually doubles as timeshares people rent out. In several days we went to, except for Typhoon Lagoon (which we didn’t go to because it was raining in the morning), Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Island Of Adventure, Walt Disney World Resort ( I was really hoping to go to Epcot for “Mission: Space” and “Test Track”, but we stayed in Magic Kingdom, which was still very fun! ^_^), and Daytona Beach (which was the longest ride in the car than any of the other places we went to in that week). Other than that, I bought a lot of souvenirs for my friends, and I took a lot of pictures. I only uploaded the pictures to my e-mail and the only ones I won’t put up is the day at Daytona Beach (because the photos would have been better if the other people that I was with were up and ready by that time, and only me, my mom and her friends were there.) It was fun, and mom already wants me to look up vacation packages for both Disney and Westgate Lakes, so maybe we can go by next year. I hope we go back! I really loved Florida. But you have to go back home sometime, so we came back Sunday, Sept. 2nd. I think that was a good way to end the summer. I only wish that we were off a few more days, because the first day of school officially starts tomorrow for me! Actually, I’m kind of happy that I’m going back, but kind of “meh” only because I have a bit to do. I happy that I’m going to be in 12th grade, but this also comes with still taking the SAT (I still haven’t taken it yet! -_-) and still look for collages (also haven’t started yet. I know, it’s kind of bad…). But I will face them, one way or another. I also got my new schedule for the first two semesters for this year, and I’m kind of happy about it. But, at the same time, those people at the main office might change me, so I should be happy with what I go for now. Here what I have (at least for Semester 1): Semester 1 1st Period - Health 2nd Period - Economics 3rd Period – Resource Room 4th Period – Weight Training/ Fitness (Days 1, 3, & 5), PE (Days 2, 4, & 6) 5th Period – English (AP or just 12th grade? I still don’t really know…) 6th Period – Lunch 7th Period – Blank (Free Period! ^_^) 8th Period - Photography Like I said, any of these classes could change at anytime, and to tell you, this is the first time that I actually like my schedule, so I kind of hope they don’t change it. Except for the fact that I might be leaving the English class (I think AP) after the first semester if it doesn’t go well, then that’s different. But I just have to see when I go back tomorrow.So this is all I have for now. I might be changing the Xanga background in the next few weeks from now if I get the chance, so just enjoy the one I have up now. For your enjoyment, I will also leave you guy with pictures from my trip to the Magic Kingdom from their two evening shows, “SpectroMagic” and “Wishes”, which was a fireworks show (and for those of you that use tokyopop.com, it will be in my photos section). | Hello everyone! Cerebrix here! ^_^ Not much to say about today. It was mostly slow moving, and I kind of didn’t want to go to the library to type this post, but when will I have the time to do it anyway? After waiting a few weeks after AnimeNEXT, I finally got one of my cosplay items! It a cute Sailor Moon tiara for my character! It’s made out of brass, and it is only one out of several things I need. I think that if I start getting the big things now, like the tiara, the boots, and my staff, the only thing that will be in my way will be getting the materials together! So one part of my little SM project is complete. The place where I bout my tiara (and my boots sometime soon) is Catiza’s Collectables (http://www.catzia.com), which is a wonderful site to buy cosplay items, so go check it out! ^_^ The next thing to get is the boots. Other than that, I also got some of my friends’ anime items from Right Stuf today. But two of the things are in backorder, so not everyone’s is here yet. However, one of the items I got was a Naruto Leaf Headband. I decided that I might as well get a little something for myself, so I just went and bought it. So I thought it would be cool if I jus posted up the pictures! And speaking of pictures, I have more pictures from ANEXT! ^_^ The first two pictures were done on my phone and of the Sailor Moon group. The others are from my dad cellphone, and to tell you the truth, his phone takes may take better pictures on his than mine, which is good! | Hello everyone! Cere here! ^_^ Well, I know this is like three days late, but I have to say, this was one of the most fun times I had at an anime convention, especially since it was my first time going to one! However, my parents and I only spend Saturday and Sunday there. We drove up to New Jersey for both days, and it’s a good 40 minute drive from New York. We didn’t get to stay in a hotel, besides, we didn’t reserve for one, but it was good all the same. ^_^ I was surprised to see many people, a lot, and I mean a lot, were in costume. There were so many. Some were very well detailed, some were nice, some were scary, some were crazy, and probably anything else you can see. If you could have thought of it, you could bet you could see it there. My parents said it was like being dropped off in another dimension and mom said it was like one of those video game RPG’s where you talk to all kinds of people. I’m surprised that they actually liked it! Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures of the cosplayers, but I’ll get them next time! As well as the cosplayers, there was the main theater, which showed the AMV contestants and other main event things going on, fan and industry panels, anime screening rooms, a manga library, card gaming as well as LARP and video game rooms (but no DDR this year! ~_~), and other fun things like that, but that was over at the Holiday Inn. I was also surprised that all the hotels were so close to the Meadowlands Expo Center, literally! The Holiday Inn Meadowlands, Amerisuites, Courtyard by Marriott and Embassy Suites were all two to three steps away from each other. The only one that was ever far was the La Quinta Inn, which was one mile away from the convention center. But maybe the best thing there was, of course, the Dealer’s Room! ^_^ Soooo much stuff to chose from! ^_^ I bought a lot of things. I even took some pictures earlier this morning. Though I wished I had money of my own so I wouldn’t have to use my parents, they need it for their own things too. However, it was a lot of stuff, and hopefully I guess if I save up next year’s AnimeNEXT comes along, I’ll have a lot to things to buy! It’s also looks like we are going next year (I hope for all three days next year! >_<) I even started to buy stuff for my original Sailor Moon cosplay, so I just hope to start gathering all my materials and more for that and other cosplays soon. Other than that, it was all great, and I can’t wait starting for next year! ^_^ Cerebrix Extra! : Here are some of the pictures I took from this weekend’s AnimeNEXT 2007 convention! ^_^ However, most of the pictures are stuff that I bought from the Dealers Room, and I only took one (yes, one …-_-;) of a group of cosplayers, so sorry about that. Please also note that the pictures of my items are kind of hard to see, because I took them with my phone, so sorry if most of them look dark. Maybe I’ll try to repost them in better lighting.
